Mango Blog shareMe 1.1 Plugin Update
Mango Blog , ColdFusion - Author:John Gag at 11:24 PM Add commentsSo I had a free night and I got a couple requests to update the shareMe Plugin. In the admin you can now decide which share icons you want displayed at the end of the post. I threw it together pretty quickly so let me know if you experience any problems or if you want any icons added. The next update will hopefully include a way to order the icons. If you have the new features of Mango 1.3 simple copy and paste the link into your admin and it will auto-update the previous version for you ;).
Mango 1.3 (Simple add URL in Add-on section of admin):

This plugin was originated from Mark Applet and his custom tag can be found here:

Apr 29, 2009 at 1:08 AM Hey John, I installed your plug-in with success, but I can't get the links to show up on the bottom of my post. Will this only work with new posts? Or does this modify pre-existing posts? Thanks in advance.
Apr 29, 2009 at 1:15 AM Steve, I think I haven't updated the theme you are using to add the necessary event to the bottom of the page. If you want to add it, you'll have to open post.cfm and add this to the bottom of the post, where the icons should appear:
Apr 29, 2009 at 4:48 AM i cant find any of the plugins
Apr 29, 2009 at 10:04 AM Hey Laura, after going over some of the code in my blog and speaking with my coworker John, I realized my template didn't have some of the functionality that the other templates did. Thanks for your response.
Apr 29, 2009 at 10:17 AM I think I will add a custom event so you have to ability to place the icons where you would like.
Jul 1, 2009 at 12:45 PM Has this been addressed/fixed?
Jul 1, 2009 at 12:49 PM @Josh - Has what been addressed? The custom event?
Jul 1, 2009 at 12:51 PM Hi John, I can't get shareMe to work on my newly-installed blog (installed it today). The post by Laura said something needed to be added to post.cfm but wasn't specific, and you said you would add a custom event so you can place the icons where you like. I guess I'm just trying to figure out if there is something else I have to do. I wrote a post, then installed shareMe, then enabled shareMe and the sites I wanted, but the icons are still not showing up on my post.
Jul 1, 2009 at 12:56 PM @Josh - Do you have a msging service? If so shoot me an email so we can chat. My email is located on the contact page. Thanks
Jul 10, 2009 at 8:44 AM Same here... I assume I need to add a tag or something to get this to show. I am using my own custom version of the No Limit theme. You say "If you want to add it, you'll have to open post.cfm and add this to the bottom of the post" - Where is this, and where can I find it?
Aug 17, 2009 at 3:54 PM Thanks for the great plug in John. I have the share me plug in working just fine on the blog. I would like to re purpose it for real estate listings on a separate listings page in mango. What do suggest would be the best way to handle this.
Jan 2, 2010 at 10:46 AM @John - just found your plugin. Very cool. Could you add dZone.com? Thanks,
Jan 5, 2010 at 10:24 AM @Mike - Sorry for the delay, I will try to add that today real quick.
Jan 9, 2010 at 3:50 PM Cool. Thanks.
Jan 15, 2010 at 2:54 PM @Mike - The plugin now includes DZone. Just upgrade your current plugin with the same link. Thanks and sorry I couldnt get around til now.
