Google Voice Available For Everyone

If you don't already know Google Voice was released for everyone to use. I wanted to see what it was all about so I signed up. The signup was super easy and fast. Google makes it kinda hard to screw up the whole process. One thing to note is that once you choose your first free number it will cost you $10 to change it in the future. I highly recommend that you find a number that is best for you the first time around.
If you don't want to signup for a Google Number you can still use the voicemail service with your normal number. The voicemail is cool because you can easily set a different voicemail for different groups of contacts in your contact list. Since I have a Motorola Droid it was really easy to do because Google already backs up all my phone contacts ;). Another cool feature about the voicemail is that I get an email with a summary of what the message actually said. Sometimes its way off but I have found it to be pretty accurate.
Google Voice also has a long distance calling plan, text msging, call forwarding etc etc. If you wanna learn about all the features and goodies just go here:
