Mango Blog 1.3 Now Available

If you login into your Mango Blog admin and click on Overview you can now update your blog to the newest 1.3 version.  You must have an auto update version (I think 1.2.2 and later).  I cannot find any info on the latest update but I am sure some will be available soon at http://www.mangoblog.org/

SQL Trim Functions Remove White Space (Trim(), lTrim, rTrim)

Here is just another little way to remove white space.  Use SQL Trim(), lTrim() and rTrim().

SELECT Trim( '  Variable  ' );

Output: 'Variable'

SELECT lTrim( '  Variable  ' );

Output: 'Variable  '

SELECT rTrim( '  Variable  ' );

Output: '  Variable'

Office Cleanup Complete

The office cleanup project turned into a 2 day event.  It took most of friday and all of the following monday to have it all cleaned out and re-arranged.  Many IT man sweat hours were put in and I think some of the team got more exercise than almost all of 2008.  The overhaul was totally worth it as our new IT room has a clean storage area and also a conferance area for meetings.  The first set of pictures shows morning progress and the second shows the final product.  We still need to label everything using the 5s methodology talked about in my previous post.

Finally Cleaning Up the Office (More productive?)

So we are finally cleaning out the office.  Right now the IT office looks like a storage shed and it is time to clean this place! What better day to do it than friday right?  We are going to use the 5S methodology.
